One year ago today, I accepted I was lost. One year ago today, I acted on an idea without any major roadmap or direction.

I was in a bad place. I was in a bad place spiritually, and I was in a bad place creatively. I was working on a short film called "Lost & Space". A short film in which I did not really care for, but I felt I needed to create something for the heck of it.

In 2019, just a few days before ENTER THE DARKNESS TO FIND THE LIGHT launched, that short film's story changed. At that moment I stopped doing what was expected of me, and I decided to share my subconscious, hurt, pain, and personal feelings with the world.

I picked a costume, I picked up my camera, and I told Michael Ali (FROM UPCOMING SHORT FILM "THE MAN LOST IN THE DARKNESS") when and where. A terrible story that was once about an astronaut and an alien lover morphed into a story that needed to be told. It morphed into a story where I could be true to myself, true to my art, and most importantly...true to God.

On November 15, 2019 Impactful Films shared Episodes One-Three of ENTER THE DARKNESS TO FIND THE LIGHT: CHAPTER ONE with the world. The short film was due to surface a few months later, but life happened. Instead of waiting until we could film the short film, another idea sparked after speaking with Michael who gave me a word. That word was "Content." On February 3, 2020, I decided to bring the character in the yellow hoodie and black jacket from episodes one-three to life in weekly message videos. I haven't looked back.

Though ENTER THE DARKNESS TO FIND THE LIGHT makes one-year now, we still have a long way to go. COVID-19 really threw us off, but I'm happy to say we are currently working on episode four, and we are currently filming the short film.

I am excited for what's to come. I am excited to be the creator God called me to be. It has not been an easy year, but I am grateful. Also, I am so thankful to everyone who has supported us by watching, sharing, commenting, or sending donations. Honestly, it means so much to me and the team. You have no idea how big simply sharing something is. You have no idea how big someone taking a few minutes to watch your content can be. Even if it's only five people, I am always forever thankful. You all are rock stars.

If you are a creator in any field, my advice would be to not do too much with too little. Work with what you have. Don't let a lack of funds, help from people, film equipment, or art/drawing kits stop you. Start of small and create a short story or piece of art that you will enjoy doing. If you never start, you will never finish. We are not finished, but we have definitely started.
